Inventory Management

When the storer comes to the inventory page, they find the overview of the items in their inventory. It features a table view where the information is grouped by missions.

Inventory Overview

The inventory management system provides storers with comprehensive tracking and organization of collected materials, organized by mission for efficient management and aggregation.

Mission-Based Inventory Display

Table View Organization

Mission Grouping: All inventory items are organized by the missions they belong to, providing clear categorization and management structure.

Mission Information Display

For each mission, the storer can see the following details:

Collection Metrics

Collected Items

  • Total Count - Number of total items collected for that specific mission
  • Mission Context - Items specifically attributed to individual missions
  • Performance Tracking - Progress toward mission goals and requirements
  • Capacity Assessment - Understanding of current holdings per mission

Newly Added Items

  • Unprocessed Count - Any number of items that are added but not yet aggregated
  • Processing Queue - Items awaiting aggregation for waste management handoff
  • Workflow Status - Clear indication of items requiring attention
  • Action Items - Materials ready for the next processing step

Timeline Information

Mission Timeline

  • Started On - Mission start date for context and planning
  • Ends At - Mission end date for urgency and deadline management
  • Duration Context - Understanding of time available for processing
  • Planning Reference - Timeline-based coordination with other stakeholders

Aggregation Status

Status Indicators The status depicts whether or not the items under this mission are currently fully aggregated. It shows two statuses:

Aggregated

  • Complete Processing - When all of the items/pouches QRs are aggregated for this mission
  • Ready for Handoff - Materials prepared for waste management collection
  • Process Complete - No additional aggregation required for this mission
  • Efficiency Indicator - Successful completion of storer responsibilities

Not Aggregated

  • Pending Processing - When there are some items newly added and not aggregated yet
  • Action Required - Materials requiring aggregation before handoff
  • Processing Opportunity - Items available for aggregation workflow
  • Workflow Indicator - Active work needed for mission completion

Aggregating Items from Inventory

Aggregation Process Initiation

Visual Indicators: For any mission where there are newly added items, the "Unaggregated" sign will appear.

Access Method: When the user clicks anywhere in the specific row with unaggregated items, they will find the aggregation option.

Aggregation Workflow

Item Selection:

  • Mission-Specific Aggregation - Combine items from the same mission
  • Quantity Control - Select appropriate number of items for aggregation
  • Quality Verification - Ensure items meet requirements before aggregation
  • Efficiency Optimization - Create aggregates of optimal size for waste management

Example Process: The system demonstrates how users can make a new aggregate QR code from multiple items (e.g., 4 items) in a chosen mission, providing clear guidance for the aggregation process.

Aggregate QR Code Generation

QR Code Creation:

  • Unique Identifier - Each aggregate receives a distinct QR code
  • Mission Association - QR codes maintain connection to originating mission
  • Waste Management Ready - Codes prepared for waste management scanning
  • Tracking Continuation - Maintains material traceability through next stage

Inventory Management Benefits

Organizational Efficiency

  • Mission-Based Grouping - Clear categorization for efficient management
  • Status Visibility - Immediate understanding of processing requirements
