User Onboarding

This section discusses the onboarding of different user roles in the Recyclium platform. The onboarding process varies depending on the user role and their method of joining the platform.

Onboarding Overview: The Recyclium platform supports multiple user roles with tailored onboarding processes. Business roles (Producers, Storers, Waste Management, Recyclers) require invitation and verification, while Consumers can self-register to begin participating in the circular economy immediately.

The Recyclium platform supports multiple user roles, each with specific onboarding requirements:

  • Producers - Invited by Admins or other Producers
  • Storers - Invited by Producers or Admins
  • Waste Management Companies - Invited by Producers or Admins
  • Recyclers - Invited by Producers or Admins
  • Consumers - Self-signup via email or SSO (Google, Outlook)

Invitation Process

Who Can Invite Users

Producers and Admins can send invitations to specific users for the following roles:

  • Producer
  • Storer
  • Waste Management Company
  • Recycler

When sending invitations, they can:

  • Define the user role
  • Define the user email
  • Define the KYB (Know Your Business) requirement of the user

Consumer Self-Registration

Consumers are onboarded into the Recyclium platform through:

  • Self-signup via email
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) with Google or Outlook

User Role Setup Process

Each user role follows a specific onboarding workflow after receiving an invitation or during self-registration:

1. Invitation Email

  • User receives email invitation with setup link
  • Clicking the link takes them to password setting page
  • After password setup, they're redirected to login page

2. Profile Setup

  • Users complete multi-step profile setup process
  • Number of steps varies by user role (2-5 steps)
  • Information required depends on role responsibilities

3. Verification Process

  • Most roles require approval from inviter or admin
  • Users wait for verification before gaining full platform access
  • Consumers can access platform immediately after email verification

  3. Complete all required verification steps
  4. Ensure proper access permissions are configured
  5. Provide role-specific training on platform features

Each role has different access levels and capabilities within the platform, so proper setup is crucial for optimal platform utilization.
